Tuny® Tuna Medallion Stew

Preparation mode:

  • In a saucepan, heat the oil over medium heat and sear the Tuny® Tuna Medallions for 3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same pan over low heat, add more oil and sauté the onion, garlic, and whole chiles for 5 minutes until softened.
  • Add the tomato, season with salt and pepper, and then add sugar.
  • Add the medallions back in, cover, and cook until the sauce is thick and reduced.

Ingredients:

For 2 people 2 thawed Tuny® Tuna Medallions, 1 cup tomato sauce or crushed tomato, 1 white onion, chopped, 2 garlic cloves, chopped, 2 whole chile de árbol, 1 cup cooked peas, Oil of your choice, 1 tsp sugar (to reduce tomato acidity), Salt and pepper.
